CANTON — The Canton Chamber of Commerce has much to celebrate, and will be doing just that with its “Stars of the Town” annual meeting and awards dinner on Oct. 21 at 41 Bridge Street Live. The event reflects on the successes of the past year and celebrates those businesses and community members who have helped make it possible. With the ticket deadline of Oct. 17 rapidly approaching, the Chamber encourages members of the Canton community to attend the event and show their support for friends, neighbors and local businesses.

“Part of what makes the evening so special is the opportunity to come together and recognize the many amazing people who are vital to the town of Canton and the Chamber of Commerce,” said Gary Miller, Executive Director of the Canton Chamber of Commerce. “Stars of the Town is an evening to acknowledge all of the good work being done and celebrate our community.” In addition to the music and phenomenal menu, the Chamber will present numerous awards to local businesses, volunteers and community members, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the town of Canton and the Chamber. Award highlights include the Business of the Year, which will be presented to Cherry Brook Health Care Center and the Service to Community Award, being given to Ann Gagnon, the force behind the Chamber’s charitable initiative, Gifts for Canton.

“It’s such an honor to be named business of the year, we are so fortunate to have amazing staff at Cherry Brook who care and give back to our Canton community. We thank the Canton Chamber of Commerce for selecting Cherry Brook. We feel so blessed and proud,” said Rebecca Stevenson, Director of Admissions and Marketing for Cherry Brook Health Care Center.

The event promises to be a memorable one, and both Chamber members and the community are invited to attend and support their friends and local businesses. Tickets are $50 per person, which includes dinner and two drinks, and can be purchased online at www.CantonChamberofCommerce.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please e-mail Rachel Baugher at utilityanalysts.com@comcast.net for details.

“We hope the Canton community will come out and join us at our Stars of the Town event,” said Chuck Joseph, Board President of the Canton Chamber of Commerce. “It will be an evening filled with good company, delicious food and great music. We couldn’t imagine a better backdrop to celebrate the Canton Chamber of Commerce and the many dedicated volunteers who support us.”
