Reminder: LWV of Canton to Host 2016 Candidates’ Forum Tuesday Night

With its mission to promote informed voting, the League of Women Voters of Canton will again host Candidates’ Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Canton High School, 76 Simonds Ave. The event will feature candidates who seek to represent Canton in the November 8 elections for the Connecticut House and Senate. Senator Kevin Witkos (R) and his Democratic opponent, David Pena, will attend, along with Representative Tim LeGeyt (R) who is running unopposed. Candidates for the U.S. House of Representative and U.S Senate have been invited. Candidates will make presentations and answer questions from the League of Women Voters and the audience.
