Approximately 75 people, from toddlers to seniors, came to a town of Canton Volunteer Fire and EMS Department Open House at Collinsville Station on Oct. 26.

There some 20 department members, who talked to visitors, set up EMS and Fire equipment areas,  ‘demonstrated’ drafting from an external water source via a portable pond, held apparatus tours and even conducted a little hands-on hose training. There were stickers, helmets and tattoos for the kids. Several people also handed in applications to join the department.

Learn more about the department at http://cantonfireandems.org.
