Images of Canton: CIS Students Claim Victory

February 15, 2017 Community, Schools No Comments

The staff at Canton Intermediate School recently took to the basketball court to face a formidable group of students. Surprisingly – or maybe not so much so – the kids managed to squeak out a 39-38 win. The Parent Teacher Organization-sponsored event featured several zany moments with colorful wigs, costumes, a few bizarre calls and an ever-growing number of kids on the court. Perhaps more importantly, attendees collected more than 300 items for the Canton Food Bank. “I love this event because it’s about bringing the CIS Community together in a fun-silly environment, yet, at the same time, giving back to the community by supporting the Canton Food Bank,” said PTO President Jennifer Barri Almeida. “It’s a win-win, literally.” –John Fitts
