On Tuesday, Dante Boffi confirmed to the Valley Press that he has been named the new head coach of the Canton High football team. An official announcement is forthcoming.

Boffi previously was an assistant coach for the Warriors. He succeeds Mike Guy, who resigned in December after one season as head coach. Canton has gone 0-10 each of the past two seasons under Guy last fall and Chris Currier in 2015.
