Canton Police Investigating Early-Morning Burglaries along Route 44

IMG_5097Canton police are investigating break-ins at three businesses along Route 44.

Officers initially responded to the Citgo Service Station at 232 Albany Turnpike at approximately 4:30 a.m. on July 22 and found evidence of a “fresh” burglary, police said.

Shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday an employee at Subway, 250 Albany Turnpike, reported signs of break-in and officers discovered that Taco Bell had also been burglarized.

Police said officers searched the scenes for evidence and possible suspects. Police believe all occurred in the early morning hours Tuesday and are possibly related.

Police are working with other area departments due to similar incidents.
