The Week Ahead: Jan. 4 to Jan. 9, 2016

On Monday, residents can take advantage of such programs as Wii bowling at the Canton Senior Center and an informative tech drop-in session at the Canton Public Library.

Tuesday brings a morning story-time at the library as well as an afternoon of video game fun for the older kids. In the evening, the Canton girls take to the basketball court at the high school and the Permanent Municipal Building Committee meets in the community center.  Tuesday night fun continues in Collinsville with Trivia at Wilson’s and an open mic at the Crown and Hammer.

Wednesday morning brings story times at the library for 2s and 3s while older citizens can enjoy another Wii bowling session at the senior center. Afternoon brings a teen snackertnoon program at the library and evening another tech session.

Thursday brings Plasticine adventures to the library and a financial aid planning workshop at the senior center. At night, Albino Tree plays Wilson’s, while Flatbread introduces its Band and a Brewer program.

Friday morning brings drop-in programs to the library. At night, offerings are plentiful and include Canton Boys Basketball at the high school, Gypsy Jo at the Crown and Hammer and open mic at Lasalle Market and Deli.

Saturday morning, residents can catch the CHS varsity wrestling team in action. Night brings a bevy of entertainment options, including an opening reception for members’ new work at Gallery on the Green, Carrie Johnson at the Crown and Hammer, Moonstone Mamas at Wilson’s Pub and the Funky Dawgz Jazz Band at Canton High School.
