Grand Opening Takes Place Saturday

NEW HARTFORD – Local officials as well as members of the New Hartford Business Council and Canton Chamber of Commerce formally welcomed Brewery Legitimus to town on Friday night.

The business, owned by Canton couple Chris and Christina Sayer, will host a grand opening from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 5. During the event the brewery, located at 283 Main St. (Route 44) in New Hartford, will feature at least five of its own beers, several guest taps, a food truck courtesy of Christie Caters LLC and, from 6 to 9 p.m., the music of Blind Smudge.

The brewery first opened late last month and is located in a 3,300 square-foot space in the former Waring Factory complex.

The taproom features a bar and farm tables with seating for approximately 60.

Hours are:
Thursday and Friday – 5 to 9 p.m.
Saturday – 12pm to 9pm
Sunday – 12pm to 5pm
