Images of Canton: Christmas in Collinsville 2016

The Christmas in Collinsville festivities, including a champagne walk, tree lighting, and horse-drawn carriage rides, proved popular Friday night. The event continues Saturday with activities that include visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting, a Gallery of Trees and the annual Collinsville Charity Craft Fair. See the complete schedule below:

Saturday, Dec. 10 (9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) 

  • Breakfast with Santa – 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Canton Community Center Lower Level. Canton Parks & Recreation Depart. Spaces are limited. Register at: www.cantonrec.org Cost is $15 for each adult and $12 for each child.
  • Charity Craft Fair – Canton Town Hall Auditorium 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Local artisans. Bring a donation for the Canton Food Bank and receive a Craft Fair raffle ticket. 10% of the proceeds go to The Interval House.
  • Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides – Noon – 3 p.m. – Start at Canton Historical Museum.
  • Mrs. Santa Claus – 11:30 a.m. – Noon – Story Time with Mrs. Claus – Canton Historical Museum
  • Face Painting by Pizzazz Faces – Noon – 2:00 p.m. – Canton Historical Museum
  • Mrs. Santa Claus – Noon – 1:30 p.m. – Meet & Greet Mrs. Claus at America the Beautiful store (under LaSalle Market)
  • Santa Claus Photos – Collinsville Savings Society – 136 Main St. 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.
    Puppet Shows – Show Times: 1 p.m.; 2 p.m.; 3 p.m. Free! Town Hall Auditorium (Enter on Market Street)
  • Hot Chocolate: Provided by the Canton Lions Club in front of the Museum.
  • Children’s’ Craft Fun – 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. D.A.N.C.E. by Kristin (located behind Carol & Co. on Main St.)
  • Christmas Sing-Along – 3:00 – 4 p.m. Collinsville Congregational Church Worship Band and Readings
  • Unique Shops and Merchants – Stop in and visit the unique shops and merchants. Shop Local!
  • Gallery of Trees – Canton Historical Museum, 11 Front St. Over 50 decorated trees, donated and decorated by local businesses and individuals. Purchase tickets to win one! Tree winners will be announced after 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 11th. Benefits the Building Fund.
