Submitted Release

The Canton Chamber is pleased to announce its 24th Annual Golf Tournament, being held on Monday, June 5 at Simsbury Farms Golf Course in West Simsbury. The tournament is open to the public and a portion of the proceeds fund the Chamber’s annual scholarships to Canton High School seniors seeking higher education in business or pursuing an entrepreneurial endeavor.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is at 11 a.m. and the shotgun scramble tee off is at noon. The post-play reception begins at 5 pm, followed by dinner and awards. The tournament fee is $170 per person or $680 for a foursome, which includes lunch, dinner, golf cart and beer on the course. Save $10 per person until the Early Bird pricing has been extended to May 12.

In addition to enjoying the golf course at Simsbury Farms, golfers can also compete for the chance to win one of two hole-in-one prizes provided by Chamber-member businesses: a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4×4 provided by Northwest Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Torrington and a Trek FX3 bicycle from Benidorm Bikes in Canton. Platinum sponsors are ShopRite of Canton, A.R. Godbout & Company, Collinsville Savings Society, Larsen Ace Hardware, Simsbury Bank and The Shoppes at Farmington Valley.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available and the Chamber is seeking additional golfers. The better the participation, the greater the impact on the Chamber scholarship fund.
