Design Standards Work-In-Progress Update Posted

Canton’s New Zoning Regulations Available Online

The re-write process has been a long one, having originally started in 2005.

Director of Planning and Community Development Neil S. Pade, who was hired after the process began, said, “It is nice to have that long-standing project complete so we can go forward and focus on additional initiatives.” … Continue Reading

Pre-Charrette Education Session set for Wednesday Night

Workshop FlyerThis week the town and its consultants will host the first of two public education sessions leading up to a process that could impact future development in parts of town.

A Visioning and Design Regulation Rewrite Charrette for Route 44 and parts of Collinsville is set for June 9 to 12. A charrette is an intense multi-day process where a group of professionals conduct interviews, host public input sessions and formulate design ideas.

Eventually, design standards could potentially replace the town’s Design Review Team (DRT).
